Role Overview
MOSS is looking for a Junior Freelance Product Photographer to support our growing e-commerce business by photographing designer inventory for our website.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused photography role ideal for an emerging photographer, recent graduate, photography student, or someone early in their professional photography career who wants to gain experience working with fashion, luxury product, and e-commerce photography.
You’ll primarily photograph new arrival handbags, shoes, accessories, etc, using MOSS’s established product photography style and standards.
Schedule & Location Requirements
- Approximately 2–3 product photography shoots per month
- Each session is approximately 4 hours total, including photography and editing
- Photography and editing are completed on-site at our Austin location
- Final edited images should be completed and delivered before leaving MOSS at the end of each session
- Shoot dates are coordinated in advance based on inventory needs
- Ideal for someone looking for consistent supplemental freelance work
Core Responsibilities
Product Photography
- Photograph designer handbags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, and other merchandise for MOSS’s e-commerce site
- Capture clean, consistent images that accurately represent each product
- Follow established lighting, angles, composition, and photography standards
- Capture necessary detail shots, including important features and condition
- Work efficiently through batches of inventory while maintaining image quality
- Handle luxury merchandise carefully throughout the photography process
Editing & Same-Day Delivery
- Edit product photography on-site following each shoot
- Complete photography and editing within the approximately four-hour session
- Maintain a consistent look across products and photography sessions
- Deliver final edited images before leaving MOSS for the day
Creative Collaboration
- Work with the MOSS team to understand photography standards and priorities
- Take direction and incorporate feedback
- Help maintain a consistent visual identity across MOSS product imagery
Qualifications
This is a junior-level freelance opportunity, and extensive professional photography experience is not required.
The ideal candidate:
- Has a strong eye for clean, polished product photography
- Has a working knowledge of photography, lighting, and composition
- Is comfortable using professional photography equipment
- Has photo-editing skills and can work efficiently through a batch of images
- Is detail-oriented, organized, and efficient
- Can work independently once trained on MOSS’s photography process
- Is comfortable receiving creative direction and following an established photography style
- Can manage their time to complete both photography and editing within the scheduled session
- Is dependable and able to meet agreed-upon shoot dates
- Has an interest in fashion, luxury, e-commerce, or resale
Photography students, recent graduates, and emerging photographers are encouraged to apply.
Previous experience with product, fashion, retail, or e-commerce photography is a plus, but not required.
Physical & Technical Requirements
- Ability to work on-site at MOSS Austin
- Ability to stand and move throughout photography sessions
- Comfortable handling clothing, handbags, shoes, jewelry, and luxury merchandise
- Ability to occasionally lift or move merchandise and photography equipment up to 25 lbs
- Working knowledge of photography equipment, basic lighting, and photo-editing software

We are seeking an experienced Luxury Store Manager to lead our San Antonio location. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is equally passionate about developing people, driving sales, building client and consignor relationships, and running an exceptional retail operation.
Luxury Store ManagerThe role of the Store Manager is essential for the continued and future growth of MOSS! As Store Manager, you are the ultimate leader in the store, setting high standards for your team. You will collborate with your team and oversee all aspects of the business from consignor relationships and buying to merchandising and social media. A successful Store Manager leads by example and communicates directly with kindness and respect. Most importantly, the Store Manager loves building relationships and holds themselves to the highest standards.
On the Job
- Deliver exceptional customer service by fostering strong relationships with MOSS clientele.
- Maintain a client book and strategically reach out to new and existing clients to build loyalty and drive sales.
- Meet or exceed monthly store sales goals by motivating the team and leading by example, offering creative ways to drive sales.
- Address employee performance concerns and interpersonal conflicts promptly, directly, and professionally, with a focus on productive resolution.
- Participate in weekly manager meetings and communicate information accurately and objectively, clearly distinguishing facts, observations, and concerns.
- Create a stable, respectful, and solutions-oriented store environment by modeling professionalism, emotional maturity, accountability, and sound judgment
- Analyze weekly/monthly reports to determine strategies to maximize sales.
- Own the full employee lifecycle at the store level, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, recognition, corrective action, and employee development.
- Lead monthly staff meetings to discuss store sales, inventory, operational processes, and other essential information needed to achieve high levels of sales and productivity.
- Proactively identify opportunities and operational challenges, develop solutions, and communicate recommendations to senior leadership.
- Oversee and participate in social media activities that seek to increase brand awareness and sales.
- Continuously expand product knowledge of top designer and contemporary brands, and stay informed on current fashion and industry trends.
- Set the monthly schedule, resolve scheduling conflicts, and provide coverage when needed based on the needs of the business.
- Monitor and address client feedback and concerns promptly and effectively to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Manage all aspects of daily store operations including attending to the opening and closing of the store & maintaining proper accountability for cash handling and consignor payouts.
- Communicate and uphold store policies laid out in the MOSS Employee Handbook.
Requirements:
- 3 or more years of retail sales experience in an upscale/luxury environment, established client book preferred.
- 3 or more years of management experience with similar scope.
- Possesses a strong personal style and is passionate about fashion and providing excellent customer service.
- Friendly and outgoing with a knack for styling people.
- Tries new things and champions new ideas.
- Proven track record of setting and achieving goals as well as holding teams to the same standard.
- Demonstrated team player with the ability to lead.

Annual base pay range: $55,000 to $65,000.
