Q&A with Chelsea Singh
1. What are your favorite designers currently?
I’ve recently fallen in love with the Proenza Schouler pieces I’ve picked up. The
silhouettes suit me perfectly, and the fabrics have an edgy elegance that feels
timeless. I’m also a huge fan of the clean lines and minimalism of Celine — the
aesthetic aligns so closely with my own design style. For my more whimsical,
free-spirited side, I love playing around with the romantic, delicate details of
Chloe. These brands speak to different aspects of my personality, and I find that
balance really inspiring.
2. What's your favorite MOSS purchase?
Ooooooh it is hard to narrow it down to a single favorite, so I ‘ll list my top 3.
1. Red “The Row” boots. They really amp up any look with a bold, yet refined
statement.
2. Stunning shade of blue “Celine” blazer. It’s the perfect blend of elegance
and modernity, and it always feels timeless.
3. Issey Miyake dress that is beautifully architectural.
3. What inspires you the most about fashion?
Fashion and design are incredibly intertwined, and what inspires me most is
how both worlds share the same principles of aesthetics, comfort, and self-
expression. Fashion reflects identity—how we can communicate who we are,
how we’re feeling, or even how we want to be perceived without saying a
word. The idea of starting each day with the intention to create an expression
through what you wear or how you design your space is energizing. It's like
setting the tone for your whole day.
4. How often do you clean out your closet?
Every season and then some. My personal style is ever evolving. So, I hold on to
the favorites, classics, and truly unique pieces and rotate the rest as my style
evolves.
5. What are you currently coveting?
Light weight, edgy fabric summer pieces. Whether a dress or a blouse. The heat
is on, and I like to be prepared, but chic. Also, I have been adding vintage
designer mules to my summer style this year. They totally evoke a sense of
effortless elegance and nostalgia. They bring to mind laid-back, sun-soaked
afternoons—like something straight out of a 70s fashion moment, with a touch of
boho or even minimalist vibes depending on how you style them.
